The Mixed Mule is one of my absolute favourite cocktail recipes, and has been on repeat in our house for the last year or so. It’s actually a cross between a Moscow Mule and a Gin-Gin Mule, which are both great drinks (and really similar) but not quite worth 5-star ratings. So in an attempt to perfect that lime-and-ginger-beer deliciousness, I’ve taken my favourite elements from each drink and mixed them together to make the perfect cocktail (no exaggeration required). 😅
I would recommend using a highball glass, as it’s quite a big drink (and is best served over plenty of ice). You can also easily swap out the vodka for gin if that’s your preference – this recipe works really well with both!
10 mint leaves
15ml simple syrup
15ml lime juice
60ml ginger beer
(1) Lightly muddle mint leaves with simple syrup & lime juice (in a cocktail shaker).
(2) Add vodka and shake gently over ice.
(3) Strain into a glass of fresh ice & add ginger beer.
(4) Stir gently & add lime garnish.
Note: Simple syrup is just 1 part water, 1 part sugar – stir over heat until the sugar has completely dissolved.
